Details & Specifications
The SOLO Modular Hip Holster in can be covered in most Tactical camouflage materials including Green, ATP and Multicam. Has 2 secure retention systems that includes a new retractable thumb break and a finger lock system to add primary and secondary locks when on Operational duty.

The holster is modular and can be used as a hip holster (long drop) on the thigh, belt holster and can be attached Molle (Modular Lightweight Load carrying Equipment) as a cross draw onto most webbing waistcoats including the Osprey armour carrier.

The drop down belt loop has a swing arm quick release buckle and the leg strap can be removed to allow the holster to be connected onto the users belt. Alternatively the holster can be attached Molle onto a waistcoat to enhance the capability as a cross draw holster.
The concept of having a retractable thumb break is to allow the firer to move onto the primary quick draw finger lock once the thumb break has been snapped open and is no longer needed until the firer has completed his role using his pistol.

Additional information:

The SOLO quick draw hip holster has a unique secondary and primary double action secure locking system which enhances retention against a pistol being dislodged out of the holster when involved in Operations. Both locking systems are recommended to be used when moving onto target by helicopter, vehicle or on foot and this is classed as “Travel Mode”.

The secondary action: The retractable thumb break can be taken when the soldier is closing in on the target or the threat level rises the soldier can decide when to chop the thumb break which then retracts out of the way inside the holster; this action allows the soldier to move onto the primary quick draw finger lock for speed draws.

The primary quick draw finger lock: This lock has the smoothest and quietest of all actions. This lock is naturally aligned with index finger to reach, grab and unlock in one swift movement allowing for a rake through quick draw, this also allows the pistol to be silently re-holstered. The pistol can be drawn without hindrance when wearing gloves; this is classed as “Quick Draw Mode”.

When the situation is calmed the soldier can re-connect the thumb-break by simply pulling it back out of the holster to press-stud over the pistol back in “Travel Mode”. The end tab of the press-stud is raised to allow this action to be done when wearing gloves.

The quick draw finger lock will always be used as a primary retention lock and the thumb-break is the back up.

The holster has a modular capability, which allows the soldier to use the pistol as a hip holster, cross draw and belt option. At no time are the locks impeded by this capability when in fact it enhances effectiveness and confidence of the firer when he knows the pistol is in exactly in the right position at all times
